Security Engineer – Sanford, FL

Responsible for designing, drafting, and assisting with programming CCTV, Access Control, Burglar Alarm and Fire Alarm systems in commercial facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand the Scope of the project
  • Read mechanical drawings and annotate relevant pieces
  • Interpret project goals and design highly functional CCTV, Access Control, Burglar Alarm and Fire Alarm solutions.
  • Generate drawings and technical package for submission
  • Provide expert technical assistance to project team, including sales, technicians and project managers
  • Assist Start-up, Check out and Commissioning of Security installation and document findings
  • Create As-Built drawings and associated documentation
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owner, contractors, and project team members
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • MS Office Suite
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • AutoCad or Visio experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or five years of work related experience
  • 5+ years of experience configuring/programming CCTV, Access Control, BA and FA systems
  • 2+ years of experience designing CCTV, Access Control, BA and FA systems
  • Direct experience with some or all of the following: AccessXpert, VideoXpert, DMP, Open Options, Pelco, Axis, Milestone
  • Experience with building Automation, Lighting Control, Nurse Call, or interest in learning same

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • FASA/BASA Certification
  • CPP or similar

Building Controls Technician I – Sanford, FL

The Building Controls Technician is responsible for programming, calibrating and testing the Building Automation control system installation in commercial facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand the Scope of the project
  • Read mechanical drawings and annotate relevant pieces
  • Configure, Calibrate, and Test sensors, actuators, and other field devices connected to the Building Automation System
  • Load, test and verify communication between Building Automation Controllers
  • Start-up, Check out and Commission Control System installation and document findings
  • Generate field notes for As-Built drawings
  • Assist lead technician during Owner Training
  • Perform basic maintenance on existing controls installations
  • Implement Graphical Interface to MC2 Standards
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owner, contractors, and project team members

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or 1-2 years Vocational Technical Training or three years of work related experience
  • Experience with Building Automation Controls Systems, especially Andover Continuum, Tridium Niagara R2/AX, and/or Schneider Electric SmartStruxure and I/A
  • Experience with Building Automation Protocols, including LON, BACNet and ModBus
  • Experience with basic Ethernet networking, including setting of IP addresses and network communication

Security Technician I – Multiple (Sanford, FL or Cocoa, FL)

Responsible for responsible for programming, checking and testing access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm installations in commercial facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand the Scope of the project
  • Read mechanical drawings and annotate relevant pieces
  • Program access control systems including door groups, user groups, access groups, access levels and reporting
  • Configure CCTV system installations including camera addressing and configuration, NVR configuration and VMS installation and configuration
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot burglar alarm systems, including Central Station reporting
  • Start-up, Check out and Commission Security system installation and document findings
  • Generate field notes for As-Built drawings
  • Perform basic maintenance on existing security installations
  • Train end user on system functionality
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owner, contractors, and project team members
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • MS Office Suite
  • Strong Computer Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or 1 -2 years Vocational Technical Training or three years of work related experience
  • 2 years of experience configuring/programming and checking out of commercial security installations
  • Demonstrated experience understanding access control wiring diagrams and best practices
  • Direct experience with CCTV, Access Control, BA and FA systems, especially Open Options, Andover Continuum, AccessXpert, Pelco, Axis, Milestone, VideoXpert, DMP, Salient
  • Strong networking skills and experience configuring and starting Virtual Machines (VMs)
  • Experience with Building Automation, Lighting Control, Nurse Call, or interest in learning same

Lighting Technician I – Sanford, FL

The Lighting Technician is responsible for checking out, testing, programming, and troubleshooting the Lighting control system installation in commercial facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand the Scope of the project
  • Read mechanical drawings and annotate relevant pieces
  • Test, Checkout, and Troubleshoot lighting fixture power requirements and driver connectivity
  • Test, Checkout, and Troubleshoot Lighting Controls, including Addressing and Communication
  • Coordinate with installation subcontractor and other contractors for a successful installation
  • Commission Lighting and AV systems
  • Generate field notes for As-Built drawings
  • Perform Owner Training
  • Perform basic maintenance on existing lighting installations
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owner, contractors, and project team members
  • Ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced company, results focused environment

  • 2+ Years Direct, Hands-on Experience configuring, installing, troubleshooting and commissioning Lighting Control Systems in commercial facilities.
  • Experience with dimming techniques (0-10V, DALI, etc)
  • Direct Experience with Lutron Quantum
  • Knowledge of or experience with Building Automation Systems, Access Control, CCTV, or interest in learning the same
  • Strong Computer Networking Experience
